Sci-fi orientated, the title combines first-person shooter and vehicle combat flavoured with an RPG-style experience and skill/advancement system system, all on a massively multiplayer scale. Thousands of players will be battling it out in a persistent online universe as they vie for control of the planet Auraxis. And it's only just around the corner. PlanetSide arrives in the US on May 20, the European release following shortly after on May 23 thanks to Ubi Soft. It's debut imminent, we scored a timely chat with the game's producer Dave Georgeson to find out more about what's coming. There is no way I can afford to play to MMORPGS when I am a student. One may even be pushing it, especially the amount that I normally pay for my game .
