Guys check out the tutorial on redhat's website, it is really useful and explains step by step.

You can't install linux on an ntfs partion, or a fat32 one for that matter, you have to have an [b]unpartitioned[/b] part of your harddrive, with nothing on it.  i.e you have about 6GB of your hard drive partitioned for Winxp, and the rest is nothing...Empty space, nadda

Then you can install linux on there

You should have lilo starting up when you boot.... thats the linux boot manager......

at least thats what happensin RH 5 and 6
