Tha_rooster
ok I need redhat 9.0 too for a server on my LAN. Tried to install it but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. I have a 11gb disc in nfts format with WinXP on it. Any idea on how i can get it to install?
THA_monkey
Guys check out the tutorial on redhat's website, it is really useful and explains step by step.
have a 11gb disc in nfts format with WinXP on it
You can't install linux on an ntfs partion, or a fat32 one for that matter, you have to have an unpartitioned part of your harddrive, with nothing on it. i.e you have about 6GB of your hard drive partitioned for Winxp, and the rest is nothing...Empty space, nadda Then you can install linux on there
harry_pothead
redhat has a utility that is called disk druid. use it to create a linux aprtition and a swap partition. otherwise there will be no linux for you
