Mr. Burns
VideoLAN is a video player, aimed at playing XviDs and DivXs, It is so much better for playing these than WMP9, RealOne etc... It claims higher frame rates on movies.. just wanted to check it out so i did.. there is a small but noticeable difference in the smoothness of the movies, not as jerky as the others.. I can't measure exactly the FPS.. but i guess it is higher; anyways i use it for all my XviDs now.. ---------------------- VLC (VideoLAN Client) is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. It can also be used as a server to stream in unicast or multicast in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth network. ---------------------- I recommend u give it a try.. B) tell me if u see any difference on u're system. on mine, it takes more RAM to run than other Media players, which might explain the smoothness (better buffering??)...
