De Ivoriaanse spits scoorde beide doelpunten voor zijn ploeg in de met 2-1 gewonnen finale van de League Cup tegen Arsenal. Invaller Arjen Robben gaf bij het winnende doelpunt, in de 84e minuut, de assist. Opstootje Het duel ontaardde in blessuretijd volledig. Bij een opstootje deelde een aantal spelers tikken uit.
